The National Football League(NFL) is the largest American football association in the US.It was founded in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association, it has its current name from 1922. There are 32 teams participating in the championship, which are members of two conferences, the AFC (American Football Conference) and the NFC(National Football Conference). Both conferences are divided into four groups of four teams each.The season runs from September to December(or early January), during which each team plays 16 matches.Following the regular season, six teams from each conference play in the playoff in a straight-knockout system and finishes with the Super Bowl.
